Anyone want to share an experience where they applied to a school based on their higher score, wrote an addendum, and actually got accepted. This is assuming you aren't a URM and your GPA wasnt way above the 75th%.

154, 162 - Villanova.  WL'd then dinged last year with just the first score.

Was this all in the same season or did you re-apply? I am curious about how successful people are when they re-apply to the same school. It seems like that would really be an uphill battle...

Great example kevdog, looks like they focused on the higher score. The average of your scores is still above their 25%, which helps. I wonder how schools look at a candidate if your higher score is within their range but the average of your scores is below.

Michigan is one t14 that does look past the numbers.

Congrats to those who got in, you give me hope.  I'd love to spend time in that gorgeous gothic building.

This is a good thread topic.  I am really interested in darthvader's 162,163,172 acceptance at Michigan.  Michigan doesn't automatically take the highest, but invite an addendum explaining why they should.  Having two lower and one higher LSAT seems like an uphill battle convincing the committee to take the higher (or even the average).  Vader, if you don't mind, will you share the main idea of your addendum (assuming you wrote one)?
