Texas Tech...Looking for some guidance here
« on: January 12, 2006, 09:40:19 AM »
I got in to Texas Tech with some scholarship funds. So far, of the schools to which I've been accepted (three), this looks like my best chance.

Can anyone tell me about Lubbock? About the school (beyond rankings)? I've never even been to Texas and don't have the funds to visit.

I haven't been out there either, although Tech is on my list for next year. My impression of it is it's an up and coming school in West Texas. Lubbock is sort of in the middle of nowhere, but the school is a good one.

There's a whole thread about it here, including some talk about visits and the school in general.

I'm in the same boat. I've been accepted to 4 schools and I'm still waiting to hear from 4 more, but so far I'm trying to decide between Mercer and Texas Tech. I've heard from some people who posted on my LSN account that Tech is a well respected school in Texas. I've heard good and bad things about Lubbock.

You're so Aggy. You're just mad that Aggy hasn't beaten Sand Aggy in something like a generation.

I will give you that Tech's undergrad rep is lacking, but they know how to have fun.

Take that, Aggy!

is that when you guys rammed your goal post into the stands of the visiting fans?  you do realize that there were children and elderly fans sitting in that section (not saying that it would be okay if it were just students, its still classless tech bs)

tech is the definition of class  ::)

the above post should prove my point about tech- ttt.

btw- we beat you guys last time we played here so it hasnt been that long.
