Got into UIUC today 10K/year scholarship. I also have been accepted to Cardozo. I live in NYC, and I would ideally like to work here. However, would I be a fool to pass up UIUC for Cardozo? Is the moderate prestige and regional pull of Illinois significantly better if I want to work in NYC anyway? I appreciate any input. Thanks.
I have been accepted to UIUC with 10k, Cardozo with 25k, and Iowa with 14k. I live in NYC, but don't know where to practice yet. Maybe New England? Definitely not huge cities like NYC, which drives me mad. But if I go to Cardozo, I can live at home and save tons of money, not to mention Cardozo is already offering an attractive financial package. I am leaning towards Iowa right now, because it is highest ranked, and also much cheaper to attend than UIUC, due to larger scholarship and cheaper tuition. The problem is, I don't want to live and practice forever in Iowa.
i have a similar situation with w&l - wisc - illinois. i'm from providence and want to practice in new england after school, but wouldn't mind leaving the area for school. would any of these three limit me in that area? i'm not looking for big law following school. i have also been accepted to brooklyn & cardozo.
