Drinking is a big no no when one's on a diet because they are nothing but empty calories and st8 get stored as fat cells in the body..When I was losing weight last summer I had no social life for two months. I did lose 16 pounds over two months but my friends called me boring. Quote from: Legapp the Omnipotent on May 15, 2006, 01:33:43 PMi eat so well during the week, but weekends are the death of me... i always end up getting trashed and drunk eating, not to mention going out to eat with friends...i can't freakin change my habits because it's so fun... When you're on a diet you can still drink as long as it's hard liquor and diet soda or any 0 calorie drinks. Where there is a will, there is a way.My understanding is that the alcohol can still give you a bit of a beer belly--but yeah, cutting the calories helps a lot.Hard alcohal has no calories or carbohydrates.I know. But I'm pretty sure it still can make you gain weight.

talking dirty to vanna is like... like... hitting on the pope or someting
Alcohol does have calories and not a single one of them is useful. Worse, it leaches certain vitamins out of your body leading to deficiences that affect your looks if you're not careful to combat them. The bulk of 'alcohol fat' also tends to be arranged around the torso giving that 'beer belly' look. The bad thing about alcohol might not be how much weight it makes you gain but where the weight goes and how your skin/hair/nails look overall.

Alright, alright, you convinced me: no more drinking for the next two months except when socially mandated, or when it's free (can't expect me to give up free drinks!).Hopefully this will lead to a decline in the beer gut in time to put on a bikini ...and that socially mandated time will be when all villanova/penn/temple bound lsders arrive here in august and i revive the lsd philadelphia thread and get some people out to a bar to represent!

That way, i don't feel like I'm taking in too many extra calories. It certainly makes me feel less bloated than beer.
