Quick EFC question
« on: January 06, 2006, 11:29:21 AM »
My EFC calculation comes out to far more than it should (imo).  Do I still get $18,500 as long as my school costs are >$18,500 after factoring in the EFC?  Or do I need to tweak the calculations to lower my EFC?

My EFC is pretty high (so I think) and I got the full $18,500 without even blinking.  I don't know where the cut off is for the federal aid, but my worries were for naught. The schools also have their cost of attendance, which is more than the tuition and fees, its room and board and books and incidentals and all those 'soft factors'.
