When to file Need Access?
«

Many schools have a mid-march deadline for financial aid applications. Do I need to have tax returns for myself and my parents on hand in order to fill out the Need Access application, or can I estimate using last year's numbers?

I estimated using last year's returns. It's ok to do that.

I know I earned less this year, so I'm waiting to get the returns done, so I can give them the real numbers the first time. Personally, I can't imagine I'll be losing out on any $$$ as long as I have them in by Feb 1.
