Looks the tide is changing. Before America was behind Bush; now Bush is behind AmericaThe left-wing NYT poll says more Americans say Iraq was a mistake, don't approve of Bush's handling of Iraq and trust the Dems more than the Republicans to make the right decisions about Iraq.New Poll Finds Most Americans Feel US Should Have Stayed Out of IraqVOA News17 Jul 2004, 15:50 UTC A new opinion poll indicates most Americans now say the United States should have stayed out of Iraq.In the New York Times - CBS News poll released Friday, 51% of those polled said the United States should not have gone to war in Iraq. And the poll reported 62% of respondents said the war was not worth the cost.Opinion of President Bush's handling of Iraq appeared to change little since the transfer of sovereignty last month, with 37% of people approving and 58% disapproving of his performance. The survey also found people were nearly split on which political party they trusted to make the right decisions about the Iraq war, with 45% of people backing Democrats and 41% supporting Republicans.
So why is it a suprise that the NYT runs a poll against Bush and the Iraq war? Id be very interested to examine their sample population and size. For that matter they didnt even list their chance of error.Propaganda.
