A Financial Aid List ('Cause I'm Bored) - Add to it!

Did anyone else interpret information given after completion of the Need Access app  concerning what Michigan needs for financial aid to mean that they may not need tax returns until after you've been admitted?  Is this just wishful thinking on my part?

Just adding an update for NYU:

The institutional form is now available on the website (may just be for admitted students only).  It's all online--7 pages--and submit over the web.  No specific deadline.

Columbia says their questionnaire is due by March 1st and it will be mailed after acceptance.. does that mean if you aren't accepted yet (and if i do get accepted and have a form mailed to me, it won't get to me for many weeks-) i don't have to do anything but file the FAFSA and Need Access before March 1st? I really really like Harvard and NYU's way.. :/ filling out forms that cost money for schools that haven't even accepted me yet is pretty frustrating. lol

Edited to add: sorry, probably shouldn't have asked that here.. i got here through another thread link and didn't realize there were a lot better threads to clutter up. If a mod wants to delete or move please do.

DOES require the Need Access Form according to their website.
"Complete the Need Access Application by March 2.
There is a $15 Need Access Application processing fee. If you enroll at UC Davis School of Law, this fee will be reimbursed for students who qualified for the admission application fee waiver."

So, in generally, do people find that for schools with a 2/15 deadline for FASFA to be filed, that they had enough time to get the thing in? My work won't provide a W2 until 1/26, and even then I'll still have to actually do my taxes before I can fill out the FASFA, unless I'm missing something?

deedee, I just posted another thread on this.  I thought I wouldnt be able to file my fafsa until after i did my taxes but it lets you put in estimated numbers.  If you have a good idea of how much you made in 2006 you can fill it out now.  they give you the option to say that you "will file."

someone posted that Michigan wants past tax returns - were we supposed to save all these (I might have them!) or is there somewhere we can get past tax returns from?
