I applied to Vermont and it was very low on my list but I think this just took it off of my list of possible schools.

perhaps more laughable is the fact that the founder of Vermont Law School is Republican!

Glad that I decided not to apply there.. although, going to hippie law school did sound like a good idea at the time..

It is a bit disturbing, but the case has no legal connection to Vermont Law School. I'm not going to hold Vermont Law School accountable for Mr. Doria's personal affairs by withdrawing my application. I don't see how it is relevent to the day to day operations of the school. VLS is a great school, and I may end up there next fall.

I agree. You can't hold the school responsible for the actions of its founder, but it is negative publicity that a tier 3 school does not need. I'm not going to withdraw, but it is sad to hear something negative will be associated with a fabulous school that does a lot to promote the environment. It is similar to the situation Appalachian Law faced when a student went on a shooting spree and murdered the dean and some students (I believe 2). Although that does kind of say what kind of students are admitted into Appalachian...
