This is fine, although I think Sax barely qualifies as a frequent OP.  We're being generous.

well he's got over 10k you have to figure he's been here a good number of nights. 

also he has the soft factor of being the dictator of the revolution.

That's a strong soft factor.

Not unlike the sort of EC that attending an Ivy would represent to an adcomm.   :D

i thought it was fantastic. but i wish they had gone for the alternate ending where the kid gets shut down by the girl at the end.

i was a little drunk at the time, though. so i don't think i could comment on how accurate a portrayal of american culture it was.

Getting turned down by her after all that?

Besides, it's clear from the beginning she wants him, and I think traveling all over Europe to see her is more than enough to make up for it.

i dunno, he barely saw her, and it's ages later by the end of the film. it just seemed more realistic, and a way that those stories never end.
