I'm a guy, though it's often hard to tell, as online thingies usually find my personality to be strongly that of a female. That's not to say I'm feminine at all in appearance or act.

Berkeley can really do whatever they want. They're Berkeley. They have as close a monopoly as can be had on the biggest state in the country, choosing the best and brightest and admitting people according to their own standards. The law school is similar, from what I can tell.

Eh, I've been known throughout most of my life as a fairly clean-cut guy. I don't look like a hippie, have a normal haircut, no tats or piercings, etc.
