I'm so happy I found this thread!  I never imagined there was a such a large contingent of Nigerians on LSD. But then again, I shouldn't be too surprised to find out we've colonized yet another territory.

I'm Yoruba--although the ocassional relapse into Valley-girl accent might fool you (unfortunate side-effect of my California days).

To answer King Shark's question: I'll likely attend a NY school even though I keep playing footsie with PENN. As for jobs, I'll prob. end up in BIGLAW if I can get in...can't send money to all the relatives in Naija on a Public Interest salary  .

1.send $$$..as in US Dollars..Greenbacks, nothing less than a note with Grant or Ben Franklin on it (God help you if even think of changing it to Naira)
2. sponsor a cousin's child in the US
3. build a house for one uncle or auntie
4. Fly someone over for treatment
5. and did I mention send money

It's crazy and unconstitutional and disappointing since I once had hopes for Obasanjo. But anyway, disappointment, flouting the constitution, and craziness...what's new in Nigeria?
