My thesis research is sucking up much of my free time, so this year is going to be harder primarily due to that. I expect my GPA to drop slightly but I refuse to give up cum laude status so I'm still putting in a lot of effort into classes. Also, since I want to do patent law, my college grades count just as much as my LS grades for finding a job.

I've probably got A's in all my classes right now. But I might end up with a B in one or two classes, ending my all A's streak.

Similarly, if you were to take easy classes like I am and pull a 4.0, it won't really affect you that much either:

For the person with a 3.5, they would become a 3.57
The person with a 3.8 would become a 3.82

nice work with the numbers. no wonder you're in high demand among law schools.

This semester I had a 3.65, last semester was a 3.72.. my UGPA is reported as a 3.47, so yeah, I'm going up.

I hope someone bloody well sees it!  :'(

This is really ridiculous...

Due to studying for the Oct. LSAT, finishing law school apps, stressing over acceptances, and general slacking off, I did VERY little schoolwork this semester.  I just got my grades, and somehow I managed to get a 3.94  :D

I got a 3.9+ this past semester (after working my BUTT off - 3 senior engineering classes, 1 with lab, all with project requirements... I *wish* I could slack off) - but it raised my cumulative GPA 0.007!!  It's so sad to do all that work and end up with such a miniscule increase, sigh.
