State of Permanent Residence?

State of Permanent Residence?

Hey everyone,

Do you think that the state of permanent residence has a bearing on applications?  I essentially have a choice between declaring my perm residence as Minnesota (where I go to college and has a population of 5MM+) and North Dakota (where the number of nuclear missiles>the popuation, j/k).  Anyway, I've seen a lot of law schools that like to boast that they have x number of states represented.  How do any of you feel my chances would be affected by either choice of the state of perm residence?

I'd claim ND.  I do think it counts some for diversity.  Of course, you still need to have competitive numbers for each school.

Thanks.  I didn't know that there was a fellow NoDaker on the board.  Good luck!
