No admits but on waitlists, anyone else?

Well i am currently on two waitlists with no admits to fall back on. I'm wondering if anyone else is in the same situation and what are you doing in the mean time. What I am really curious about is how to handle the financial stuff. I already filled out the fafsa form and all, but i dont know if i should try and pursue a loan and by what amount. I have a general estimate of the costs the first year at school but I dont know if i qualify for something if i get admitted. I will definetly apply again next year if I dont get in this year but it brings up another point....should i register for the Oct LSAT now and what about an LSAT prep class? I still dont know where I will be afterwards if i dont get in this year (especially since my degree cant get me a decent job ANYWHERE! ). Ugh, well if someone else wants to vent, be my guest.

I applied to two schools, and, ironically, my back-up was a reach.  I only applied there because I didn't want to just apply to one school, and I wouldn't have minded the commute.

There is only one school I want to attend.  I have my reasons, many of which are falling apart at the seams as the days progress.  But they're reasons nonetheless.  Also, before everyone and their mother, father, and 2nd cousin decided they needed to go to law school, I had about a 95%+ chance of being accepted there.

weird part is that all my safety schools rejected me and my top two reach schools waitlisted me... sucks because i'm so close. Oh well, i'm going to try again next year after taking the LSATs one last time.

I told myself a couple of months ago that if I didn't make it this year I wouldn't try again, but now I'm starting to wonder if maybe I can improve enough on the LSATs to make a difference.  I'd still only want to go to the school that's waitlisting me, though, so I doubt it would work.  Sigh.

I'm in the same position - 2 waitlists, but it's just getting too late for me to pick up and move my stuff across the country if one of them calls at this point.  For awhile I was totally kicking myself because I rushed the whole process due to job-hating.  In addition to submitting my apps relatively late in the cycle, I also rushed and took the LSAT 2x and did ok, but definitely not what I was practicing at.  I totally regret not forking over the $$ to take a prep class.  I am pretty much resigned to reapplying as soon as schools start taking apps for next year.  Unfortunately I don't have a whole lot to add other than a new PS and a job promotion.  Lots of regrets, but I have to move ahead and plan for next year.

I was waitlisted at every school that I applied to.  (5 total)  I was accepted at a tier three and convinced them to let me defer until next year.  I do not even want to go there but I just liked the feeling of having something in my hip pocket.  Truthfully I have been leaning more and more towards the whole entreprenuer side of the workforce.  Why work for somebody else and be their leverage.  Whether its digging ditches or billing hours to a client we simply exist as leverage for those who possess "ownership".  Since even partial ownership in a law firm would be 11 years away (3 school, 8 partnership track) it seems to me that working my butt of for 60+ hours a week for eleven years could yield a pretty substantial and profitable company.  Law School is not everything...  There is a hefty price to pay and plenty of cons associated with obtaining a law degree.
