Fordham DING DING DING!

I just checked and I've got the "Pended" response as well.  This is some seriously disheartening news since I know some people have been accepted there already.  I thought a 168 would be good enough for them.  If Fordham isn't biting then I've got 0 chance at most of the other places i applied.

Wow, that's surprising.  And scary for us 3.4 GPAs.  Hang in there and good luck.

EDIT:  And now that I look at LSN, I'm even more surprised.  3.4/168 gives you a 3.3 Admissions Index at Fordham.  In the 04-05 cycle, 3.3s were admitted at something like an 80% rate.  I think you'll get in despite the Hold.

just got the letter home today for that also...does anyone know if this is a common response for people who apply this early or is this basically a polite way of saying "look elsewhere"?

i would guess it's just because we applied so early. i didn't look into what they did last year so i'm not really sure, though.

People have posted that they've recieved rejections, so it could be worse. Fordham was a reach for me so I'm just happy I haven't been rejected yet. I don't expect to get in.

Dinged!  Online Status Check still says complete.  Letter was dated 12/15.  It's a very gracious rejection letter.  Onto the next school...

i havent received anything from fordham yet either..but i also know they do also do it in order of app received

and i have no rejection yet, so hopes are still high... its one of my top choices (figers crossed)

dammit my status still says "complete" with no decision posted and they say it will not be updated till early jan cuz the university is closing

That may be what Fordham says, but it certainly isn't the impression the LSN data gives.
