Corbabe and Latin Lord - Sorry to hear about Florida Coastal; Although FC is currently tier 4, they seem well on their way to becoming a more competative school: they have the highest bar passage rate in the state; they are the only law school in the greater Jacksonville area; and, they will be relocating to a brand new facility in the fall.  It seems to me that they can afford to up their standards - even though their recruitment flyer was clearly 4th rate.  Best of Luck with your apps.

Yeah, that was hands down the worst mailing from an ABA law school I recieved thus far. The quality was just pathetic; I was instantly turned off.  Judging from the flyer the school seems like it might be some fly by night diploma mill. Just a Bad first impression. I've recieved some really nice and informative brochures and catalogues from some tier 4 schools (New England School of Law and ST. Mary's). The Admissions people at FC might want to check these brochures and catalogues out since these schools are competing for the same students.  Nevertheless, The school really does seem to be on the rise as evidenced by their bar passage rate and the new campus, but their recruitment efforts need to be overhauled.

Sorry to hear that Corbabe...but hang in there, you have quite a few more school to go.  I am sure you will have many choices in the future.

I just got the big envelope from Widener, so its official...I'm going to law school.  You guys were right, the first one is special and I can honestly say that I've never experienced this kind of natural high before.

As a side note, I know a lot of folks are getting responses that they don't really want to get.  I also know that some of our fellow posters can be jackasses in their putdowns and whatnot.  I implore you not to let these pompous bastards get to you.  You will get into law school and you will all become lawyers.  Believe me, if you are familiar with my story, there is no way in Hell that I should be going to law school, yet I am.  So, if I can get in so can you.  Keep your chin up and good luck to all of you.
