i doubt i would go there. but i also doubt any of my other apps will offer me a full ride. and a free education? it's very appealing.

I don't know what you think of SMU, but with your numbers, you're almost a dead lock there, and I wouldn't be surprised if they threw some money your way.

If you want to be a disastrous Supreme Court nominee, SMU's the way to go. Even if you don't aspire to Harriet Miers-dom, it's a really good school with pretty buildings and a solid faculty.

i applied to SMU. i'm not sure what kind of money they'd offer me. it'll be hard to top OU's offer as far as ranked schools go.

I just got a rejection today from Florida Costal School of Law.(regular addmissions - small white bad envelope)I thought I had a good shot there.  I don't get it, i'm getting dinged by the lower tier schools first. Can someone explain this to me!?

you applied to a lot of schools. you never know what might happen. a lower ranked school might not necessarily mean that they would be more apt to accept you. sometimes a school is lower ranked because it's new (as is florida coastal). i think you might have one bite, considering the number of schools you've applied. for me, i've had one lower ranked school defer me and a higher ranked school accept. although the ranking differential is inconsequential, it kinda makes you wonder.

hang in there. sometimes a longer wait means rejection, but sometimes it can bring good news. it may mean that other schools are more seriously considering soft factors, etc.
