Anyone know why these boards are called "child boards"?

anyone?  kinda funny considering some of the childish posts, but I'm assuming that there's a deeper reason.

Basically another way of saying "sub-boards," or boards contained within larger boards.

you confusing julie with someone else.  children should not be named after fruit.
