We Californians should be careful how much we boast about how fantastic our weather is.  Karma will give us an earthquake or lots of rain (like last year).

Karma is not going to make it -10 outside so I am comfortable with my boasting.

Nah, if Californians keep bragging about their weather, they'll end up with even more people moving there... the contempt some Californians have for "new" Californians is astounding.

I did not realize that it got that cold in the East at this moment. Wow, I have never been in weather colder than 65 degrees. I have only touched snow twice and that is because I went to Big Bear and returned to 70+ degree weather in the OC later that day.

My contempt comes from the fact that many transplants come out here because of the weather, ocean, etc. and then don't take advantage of any of the things that make the place so nice. Pretty much do what they could do in Des Moines, Iowa (no offense to Des Moines residents), but decide they want to pay more for the same experience.

It's 60. Brrr...
Sunny, though; a few white fluffy clouds, not too bright today. Light chilly breeze.

60? We call that springtime.

We're just getting over a cold front, where it was in the 50s for several days.

Houston, TX.
Current temp: 71, and gorgeous sunshine.

I'm not looking forward to 'winter'  arriving. Our winter is generally about 3 weeks long or so, but spread out piecemeal over three or four months. And then it's generally in the 40s and damp. Yick.
