I'm 21 years past my undergraduate degree, so it made no sense to ask instructors for LOR.
I got a letter from my priest, from a former supervisor and my lawyer. The first two could not offer much of an opinion about my potential as a lawyer and instead wrote about my general abilities. My lawyer had some very good things to say about me.
And it worked. I'm starting in August.
