Discrepency between USNWR and School's Reported Median LSAT
« on: November 10, 2005, 02:52:21 PM »
Why is there a discrepency between the median lsat scores reported by USNWR and the LSAT scores reported on some schools websites?

The make up of the class may change slightly as some people get off waitlists and go to better schools or are admitted from the waitlist.  What school in particular?

I've noticed several but take for example, Temple.  The website reports 160-165 for 2005 USNWR reports 158-163 ah... but its for 2004. Nevermind.  Damn, I would have had a better shot at a lot more schools in 2004.

Well I guess you answered your own question... I think apps are down this year and competition is levelling off.

I am also participating in this form of wishful thinking.

I hope youre right but this info indicates otherwise.  Competition should have leveled off last year but Ive noticed the same trend at school Im applying too.  Wake and UGA for example have much higher LSATs for the '05 entering class compared to the most recent USNEWS

Last year's fewer apps/better students situation has to stop sometime... it can't go on forever. Maybe this is the year. ;)
