DEFERRED at Texas
«

I posted this under the mail call thread as well, but I was deferred at UT-Austin today via email. Mention of 1500 early applicants, 80% of whom will receive a final decision, 20% of whom will be deferred. 165/3.76 in a hard science from a top 5 ugrad, so the deferral is not a surprise. Not a TX resident.
Anybody else?

Sent 9/26. Complete 10/11. So about a month on the turnaround -- not bad.

Count me in. Another non Texan. I sure hope I get the decision before mid April as UT is my number 1 choice at the moment.

I was deferred to the regular app cycle as well. I posted in the Texas thread in the Acceptances section.

Eh, it would be my guess that adcomms look at your #s more favorably than mine. 2 points on LSAT >>>> 0.2 points on GPA. So I wouldn't say you should expect a DING, but who knows...

My theory is that they defer everyone, then do rejections. Anyone?
