are they helpful in getting you in?

i know its a silly question, but i need to know the answer to it.

Most of the time no.  Sometimes it can.  It depends on who the school sends.  If it's just some student, then the chances are it won't help you, though you should sign up for their info and have a chat anyway, since you never know if they might call that student in as a reviewer.  Schools that send dean's and such are much better bets, but you better make a hell of an impression.  I went to the career fair at my school every year and talked to the Columbia dean and when I went to tour the school I ran into him and he remembered me by name.  Sadly, he is no longer the dean of Columbia Law  :'( 


So in sum, yes, maybe, prolly not.
