Check out this woman's site on everything there is to know about applying to law school... it's a maze to get through but i found this page for Waitlisters & how to annoy the schools into letting you in.. or not.

"held" at Illinois Urbana-Champaign. ehhh. chiashu had me at 46% (2003). LSAC had me better than 50%. now i'm wondering if my app just sucks.

being held in no way should imply those #s are wrong or your app was bad

no. i'm just saying that if the percentages had me at 50%, then good apps they accept, bad apps they hold/reject. just my paranoid logic.

sorry about the holds, but at least you've still got a shot.

i'd write a letter of continued interest, at minimum. let the school know that you're still interested. i might even suggest writing why you are intereted in that particular law school with specifics. show the adcomm that you really like their school.
