FINALLY.

A non-decision decision: In at GULC.

A friend (zenpeaceofmind) suggested that I email Cornblatt directly.  And after a lot of back and forth I did.  I explained that it's been 2 weeks since my letter was sent, it was sent to a bad address that only kind of works but that I'd emailed his office twice about changing my address, neither time did anything.  That I've also called and gotten no help, etc. etc.

He responded within minutes, apologizing for all of my difficulties and saying that it is GULC's official policy not to give admissions decision info over email, but that he thinks I'll have a very big smile on my face when I finally get the letter that they are re-sending to my correct address and he hopes to see me in the spring.

Phwew.

Very well done! congratulations.

Just got my acceptance letter. I went to decision on Dec. 9th, but I had to go away for a few days just before the letter arrived. What a relief.

GULC has been by far the easiest and best admissions experience in my eyes. I might change my tune if/when some other acceptances come in, but they were very accomodating and quick to respond to my emails.

Does anyone know when they'll be sending a larger acceptance packet?

Didn't the second page of the acceptance letter give a list of dates when you can travel to campus to pick up your packet? That's how they save postage on admittees who are using them as a safety.  ;D

I called the admissions office after receiving my acceptance letter asking when they would send out information packets.  The woman with whom I spoke said that packets would be sent out in mid- to late-January.

My letter didn't say anything about getting the packet during visiting days.   :'(

But considering that I'm not using them as a safety, and was going to visit in January anyway, I doubt it's a huge concern.

Hehe, just kidding!

In At GULC!

Applied ED with a 3.42/169, super borderline but I think ED helped a lot.
