I  don't know.  But it seems like they are trying to gauge interest so they can give out offers to people who will accept.  I don't know if there will be a second round but there probably will be, depending on the response to the email.

Did anyone send updates and continued interest letters?  If so, maybe they already know that you are still interested, and they sent out emails to those they were still interested in but who they hadn't heard from.  Just a positive note!
