Wondering about spread in score...

I took the LSAT in June and got a 163, which was very low for where I'd been testing.  I just re-took and was v. happy to get a 176, which was more reflective of where I'd been scoring in practice.  My question is:  with a 3.4 and having been in the work force for nearly 5 years (no recent academic work, no master's, etc.), how much will my latter score count?  I don't want to be audacious by applying to top 5 schools if it's definitely going to be a no-go....can anyone advise?

I may be able to advise,
a 163 is moderate a 176 is great (good job the second time around) that is a 13 point increase on a low score that really isn't low anyway. You should apply to the yop 5 such as Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Columbia etc... but you should also apply to others as safties (not so prestigious to cover your a$$) but even averaging the low with the high the score is as an impressive 170 wish can get you into all top schools with a great UGPA to back it up but in your case your work experience will be looked at with your LSAT weighted in the 70% over everything else (not GPA by any means since it has been forever  ) Go for the top spots at IVY and also secure spots at the not so IVY schools This way you are accepted to LS either way just in case. Lastly do well while in LS the LSAT means nothing after you are through the door! you will make a fine attorney!
