Median LSAT Score: 163

The poster has an orgasmic-love for Hastings. Too bad it is in decline.

BTW, how do you figure that blacks and latinos make up 20% of the enrollment?

They don't break it down on that page, and hastings isn't known for showing URMs all that much love. Check out the breakdown from last year:

African-American: 1.9%
American Indian: 0.3%
Asian-American: 24.8%
Mexican-American: 3.3%
Puerto Rican: 0.3%
Other Hispanic-American: 2.7%
White: 45.0%
International 2.3%
Unknown 19.4%

If this is representative of how the student body usually looks, at any given time Hastings has over 1200 students and a meager 20 are black, 40 are Mexican, 3 are Puerto Rican, 3 are American Indian, and 32 are "hispanic-other". I am guessing that most of those minorities are Asian.....Give me a break. Hasting is in Decline because it is a ttt, not because of minority enrollment.

>I am one of those individuals for whom every school in the T14 is a reach, and for whom almost every school in the 20-35 range is a lock

Good Luck !

Hastings is pretty tough to get in. (165, 3.61) :o

I don't claim to know anything about hastings, but I think its pretty obvious why it would be harder to get in there compared to minnesota or wisconsin.

Perhaps the biggest shock to me is Iowa. But overall, this all good information and really interesting.

This may sound obvious, but you do realize some schools weight GPA higher and some schools rate LSAT higher in their indexes. That may be why Chaishu is spewing out different numbers for schools, because the %'s you are getting are based on your input GPA and LSAT...

Yeah, schools in the Midwest definitely receive fewer apps than they ought to receive based on ranking, simply because people don't want to live there...
