Yeah, its a poll.
Personally, I would define a competitive atmosphere as a place where I feel my success depends upon other people's failures. I would hate not being able to root for people and help them out cuz that would mean my 6 figure job goes down the drain. (hence, I like schools where almost all graduates land 6 figure jobs)
