I'm an Asian immigrant, but didn't want to mention immigration or my Asian heritage as a topic for the diversity statement.  Instead, I thought it'd be refreshing if I wrote on my experience of male chauvinism as an Asian-American in her native country (during my two years working there).  What do you guys think?  Is the topic too sensitive?

How does this make you a better candidate at an American law school?

I want to show my assertiveness and defiance against injustice (in this case sexism), as well as my confidence in my ability to counter it.
I also want to show the transculture aspect of it.  It's not simply sexism per say but rather sexism against an Asian-American.  My employers had 'different' expectations for an American female educated in America compared to the natives.
Would this topic touch any nerves with ad comm ppl?

They'd probably like it.
