Where in Cali should/could I go?
« on: October 24, 2005, 01:37:32 PM »
The thought of moving to CA is getting more and more appealing as the temp keeps getting colder and colder. I HATE COLD WEATHER. Anyway, from the looks of things, I have a good shot at a decent number of T1's, but do I have a shot at any T!'s in California? Hastings, Davis? I'm not wasting my money on UCLA or Berkeley and stanford doesn't even exist to me.

Anyway, If I can't get into a T1, would other schools (USD, Pepperdine, ect.) open any doors for me, or would I be forced to put out a shingle on a little shop somewhere? I have no idea what kind of rep these schools have regionally.

it looks like you have a good shot at uc davis and uc hastings. i go to uc davis undergrad and know that the law school is VERY respected regionally; if you get decent grades you should get a great job anywhere around california (especially northern).

USD is very strong, but mainly just in San Diego. That sounds dismissive, but San Diego is like the 6th most populous city in the country and has better weather than L.A.

Loyola of Los Angeles is the 3rd-ranked school in L.A., after UCLA and USC.
