It's a little vague. Do you break confidentiality that prevents a client from commiting a crime if it would reasonably lead to their arrest?
For that matter, what could you tell to whom that would prevent a crime but not lead to criminal charges?
If I tell the police that my client plans to murder someone, so as to prevent that crime, then my client is charged with attempted murder.
