watch now...approval ratings dwindling away...so declares the media...

syria peers out for a diplomatic bow.
kurdistan will have a constitution voted upon.
perhaps even a photo opp with hussein senior at the voting booth...historical first...

hussein still has rights and will stroll to the ballot box.

monday morning will NOT have mention of approval ratings...

Except, of course, that it is dems who are doing the prosecuting in these cases.  Given that they couldn't win at the ballot box, they're apparently trying to regain power in other ways.  However, this kind of crap usually ends up biting you in the ass.

If you're talking about "being your own worst enemies", you must be talking about the dems.  How else could Gore lose the election in 2000, with a strong economy, no major foreign policy issues (yet manifested), etc.?

It's really not surprising that in a time of sky-high gas prices, natural disasters, politically-motivated witch-hunts, etc., some polls may indicate voter dissatisfaction.

The problem is that the dems have shot their wad far too early, and by the time next November rolls around, all this stuff will either be resolved or discredited.  When faced with a choice between the dems and the reps, the voters will make the same choice they made last year.  The reason?  The dems have their heads even further up their ass then the reps do, and have no idea what they stand for, aside from full capitulation in the war on terror.
As far as I can tell this is a witch hunt only if the repubs are hunting themselves;  they are their own worst enemies and their lies are catching up with them

First, off, these are only the "facts" as alleged by political opponents.  We have no idea what actually happened yet.

(I'm sure that if you look into the actual source of the investigation, you'll see democratic operatives.  Do you really think it's a conincidence that all these prosecutions are occuring simultaneously?)

If you really believe what you say, then I guess you feel Hillary should also be incarcerated for her magical commodities windfall while she was still back in Arkansas -- or any of the other numerous skethcy actions that occurred during their checkered tenure both as governor and president.

Exactly 3peat.  A guy sets up a "blind" trust so that there would be no conflicts of interest when he has to make decisions on health care issues.  We find out that the trusts are not so "blind" at all.  Not only has he been aware of his holdings, he turns around and liquidates shares of his family's company, 3 weeks before the stock takes a double digit fall on bad news.  Now he is being investigaged by the SEC! How pray tell does that constitute a politically-motivated witch hunt? If it does turn out that he acted on insider information (which I think will be the outcome of this) he should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law (see Martha Stewart).

So, what?  Now we have a vast left-wing conspiracy or something?  ;)
