Visiting Schools and Admitted Students Days

I don't want to visit schools I don't get into, and because I'm right at the averages for most of my targets, I can't tell where I'm most likely to get in. Question is, do the admitted students days come early enough before you have to commit to schools for you to be able to get a feel for the places?

It's hard to imagine that they wouldn't; what's the point of an admitted students' day if not to convince admitted students to attend?  And what good does convincing them do if they're already committed?

But I don't know from personal experience or anything.

I'm sure they do... but other than that, schools are starting to do lots of open houses, why don't you just go to those?
