UCLA International law reputation

Actually for what it's worth, the USNews rankings in international law (which I had not seen beyond knowing NYU was #1), correlate quite strongly with my research on the subject.  I have found that Georgetown, Columbia, and Michigan have exceptional international offerings, while Chicago and UCLA seem quite limited (although UCLA is expanding their offerings I've heard).

pretty much. A "better" intl law program may serve as a tiebreaker between similar schools, but it shouldn't be a large fator in a decision.

Agreed.  For instance I'd choose Michigan or Penn over Virginia for international law.

I don't know about the 3rd and 4th, but the first two are part of Int. Law.  I would think the 3rd would be something you might do down the road a bit, not anytime soon after graduating.  I would think immigration would be mostly a domestic issue, but I could be wrong.

PS – I am looking at #2 as a possibility
