Activities question

Activities question
« on: October 17, 2005, 03:51:07 PM »
Hi, I participated in a few LGBT pride events as an undergrad and want to list this on my resume - it didn't comprise a significant part of my activities but I think it was somewhat meaningful.  I myself am hetero so this wouldn't be misconstrued as me being part of the LGBT community and therefore receiving a wrongful advantage, correct? I will not be discussing it in any other part of my application.

I know, I am highly paranoid and thanks for your help.

The adcom may well think you're queer, because they often have no way of knowing whether someone is or not, since most schools lack check boxes.  I don't think us queers are underrepresented in law school, so it's unlikely to get you an advantage, and if by some chance there's some school out there that actually wants more queer students, it's the adcomm's fault for making assumptions, not yours.
