seems as if CBS has revised their statement of "rehired."

they seem to have a problem w/ rushing to the press over Bush of late w/ unconfirmed news

How strange that is for any media outlet...I can't believe that.

Especially CBS, really surprising.  But then, as long as it conveys what they see as the overall truth, what difference does it really make if the facts are inaccurate or even conjured up? :)

He resigned from the position for which he was hired, so why is he still on payroll?

like many resignations, it wasn't effective immediately, but at the end of Sept

one reason is so that he can be forced to testify before Congress, as he is today

plus he was salaried so probably had a final paycheck coming JSIA
