One of my professors, specifically my Microeconomics professor is a practicing attorney in my state, would it be better to obtain a letter of recommendation from him even though he doesn't have a PhD?  Will any colleges care?

What law school admissions really want to see are the professors in the field in which you are graduating, so if you are a eco major than this professor will be great.  If you are not a econmics major, maybe get letter from the head of department in which you will be graduating and this professor (especially if he is going to write you an awesome letter)  Furthermore, Ph D's are great, but that is not the only qualification that makes them good professors nor good recommendation writers.

I agree that you should look for more than just the degree qualifications of a teacher/professor.

Another thing that adcomms are looking for is ATTRACTIVE applicants - so, everyone - send in photos of yourself with your application[/i] - it can really only help your chances, especially if you are a fox or a stud muffin.
