ED Reach?
« on: September 25, 2005, 09:49:00 PM »
If my I am really pushing for a big reach, ie targeted LORs, etc, is binding ED a good idea?  I can see the argument that it solidifies the school as your top choice, but also you'd possibly be held to a higher standard.  Anyone have binding ED experience with this?

I would only apply ed to a school if i really, really, really wanted to go there and there would be no way that anything could sway me to go anywhere else if I got in.  At this point, I can't say that.  I have only visited two law schools and neither of them is what what i would consider my number one choice.  But even with my number one choice, if they accepted me, I plan on visiting to make sure I know what kind of things to expect. So if your super big reach is a place you know you wanna be and you have no doubts about this, then I say go ahead... apply ed.  It shows that you are interested in the school.

If it really is your first choice, and the school is a reach, it won't hurt you to apply ED.

Cool, that's pretty much what I meant.  Thx
