Does anyone think that this scale is incredibly ridiculous?  They tested us on 99 questions, not 100 or 101 like the norm.  This means there's less leway with how many incorrect answers you can get (really, you need to add 1 to the number you got incorrect because that one point is not counted as a correct answer).  Plus, they removed 177 and 174 from contention, meaning it's that much harder to get a score in the 170's.  I wonder if you can provide an addendum for your score on this exam, or any similar exams in the future.

Well, I think I've hit a plateau.  I thought I aced that test walking home afterwards.  Nope, the LSAT gods had another thing in mind.  Apparently, they think that a 162 is good enough for me.  I hate them.  At least I'm taking all week off of work so I have plenty of time to study.

Hey spacewrangler,

Don't forget to take a break and relax yourself before the exam.  I would recommend not studying at all on Friday.  Instead, see a movie or relax or spend time with your sig. other or family.  Do anything but study the LSAT.  And get plenty of rest and eat well beforehand.  I really think there was something that went terribly wrong when this (the June 2005) LSAT was written.  I noticed two questions were removed from scoring (one was in the experimental section, but still).  That just shows me the authors were stoned as hell and realized they had written questions that either made no sense or which they realized weren't questions at all but secret hints on aceing the LSAT.  Either way, they
f!cked up.

Was there any way to do the tape game without mastering the possibilities?  It seems as though there were way too many possiblities to warrant such time.

I did not master the possibilities on the tape game and only got 1 wrong.  I just applied the rules during the hypotheticals.  I think mastering the possibilities on this game was not necessary.  I finished this game with plenty of time to spare.  Frankly, I don't see how anyone could master the possibilities on this.  There are too many.  Remember, only write down up to four possibilities.  This game clearly had more than 4 different outcomes, and so wasn't worth mastering.  I really only master the possibilities if I have mega-blocks or biconditionals (ie: either bob or joe must be in the game, but not both, or "g" must go on either tuesday or friday).

Swat: My plans for this week are to take two more practice tests (Tues and Thurs).  Aside from those, I'm planning on focusing on my weaknesses in LR.  At this point, I'm not going to be able to improve on RC.  I'll do some game sections throughout the week too.  And I'm definitely taking Friday off.  I'll probably play a little golf in the morning and then drive down to my test location for a relaxing evening in the Holiday Inn.  I just need to try and eek out about 8 or 9 more questions to hit my target score of 168.  We'll see.

BTW, how do you like London?  I'm applying to several grad schools over there this fall.

I'm actually still in the US right now.  I'm spending this academic year at Oxford, but there's only one testcenter in England and it's in London.  I leave tomorrow (finally!).
