Man, this sounds like a bad LSAT question.  "This argument is based on which flawed technique?"  The correct answer: (C)  Interpreting correlation as causality. 

Still, pretty interesting study, however useless it may be as concrete evidence of anything but coincidence.

Glad someone said it.

Yeah, that is why I asked the question of "why?"  I wanted to give my opinion, but after deep thought (okay, not very deep) I couldn't come up with even a possibility.  And I still can't.
