MA as in Massachusetts? you've heard Chicago is colder than MA? trust me you'll be fine lol.. i just moved to MA last summer and this winter was cold for me...the problem with Chicago winters mostly is the wind.. as long as you aren't standing outside waiting for a bus or train for a long period of time and you cover up properly you'll be fine. what kind of insight are you seeking exactly? I'm from Chicago originally

Hello,
So i was wondering.... is there anyone that will be attending John Marshall Law School in Chicago? or is there anyone who knows anything about the Chicago area? I am from MA and lived on the east coast most of my life. The idea of moving to Chicago does scare me because i keep hearing its cold. I am just apprehensive about the move and financing my education. Any insight? ???

I was wondering where to live since i dont know the area i have a friend who lives at Lake Meadows but i am not sure how close that is to the law school and what areas are safe? i looked on craiglist and got confused because i dont recognize any of the areas.

John Marshall is downtown.. Lake Meadows is about 15 minutes by car to downtown.. i actually went to an elementary school in that area.. Hyde Park is about 20 minutes by car to downtown as well.. it all depends on your budget and what you're looking for..i can def help you out regarding finding housing...Hyde Park  Chicago is the most diverse.. you'll see a lot   of middle to upper middle class blks there (but there are plenty of affordable apts in that area as well).. however they're also sprinkled throughout the north side and downtown areas. of course the closer to downtown you are...the more expensive it'll be ...
