Vital!  After the crotch (!) shot but before she stood up (I didn't like the fit so much when CN was standing), I was really digging Miranda's bathing suit.  Also, especially given her health, Nixon was looking pretty damn good - she's aged really gracefully.

Me too!

Is she having health issues?? I thought Miranda looked especially great, and I think that gofugyourself was pretty on the money when they said that Kristin Davis must have a portrait of Dorian Gray under her bed, because she never seems to age.

She had breast cancer. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,351449,00.html

No, she really doesn't.  And I finally made my piece with Charlotte, whom I'd never liked much - that scene in the restaurant was hilarious.

(I'm trying to think of other fashion porn moments I really enjoyed.  I will say I hated the closet Manolos and JHud's final bag, and I like the shoutout to her opening credits dress, no matter how much of a fashion mistake it might of actually been.)

Also, the guys were all generally looking fit; Chris Noth was . . . whew, and the guy who plays Steve - David something? - had, as always, a friggin' killer body.  And speaking of guys and crotch shots, what're the thoughts on the neighbor?

Can we talk about how I missed the crotch shot of the neighbor? I turned to whisper something to my friend right at that very moment, damn the man!  :D

I was really glad they didn't mess with Charlotte's story line. I really liked seeing her all happy and good, and she looked really cute in her [spoiler alert] pregnancy dresses.

And yeah, who knew Steve had such a nice bum? I also hated JHud's bag, although I did kind of enjoy her presence, badly-acted, and tokenist as it may have been.

I liked the wedding dress and, yes, damnit, I actually liked the bird. I thought being over-the-top suited her. I loved the pink dress she wore when she was finally leaving her apartment. But I kind of think the bad fashion outweighed the good (except Charlotte! She was unflaggingly immaculate!), but I guess it was kind of like that on the show.

Ummm, you . . . shouldn't have turned.  Yeah, I said it. :D  And the ass was definitely a surprise.

::cue Alci harping on the ladies thread::

Wasn't Samantha wearing one of those cut out dresses you hate?  And Charlotte did look very cute.  Wedding dress, agreed, bridesmaid dresses, absofrigginlutely horrendous.  I respect the non matching style or palate . . . I can even see it working.  But the colors and styles in question?  No.

The writers really didn't give her a lot, frankly.  She's still a crap actress, but I will say that.

You mean Kristin Davis? Yeah, while most of them got pretty flimsy plots, she got, like, zero plot. As my friend pointed out, the single conflict with her character was whether or not she was going to go running  :D

And I have to say, I actually really liked the bridesmaid dresses!  :D Haha... I'm probably wrong. I thought they were cool! And dramatic! And complimented her very extreme avant garde dress! And like I kind of maybe wanted to wear them! But I can understand why you might hate them. And I think Kristin Davis is a good comic actress! I find her genuinely funny when she hams it up (although of course I hated the whole Mexico bad water joke thing). I liked her waddling around and scolding Big....

She got to stamp her foot!

The dresses were fine, individually, but for the wedding?  I'm just not convinced.  :D  JHud is a bad actress, not KD.  I tend to answer ideas in spacing that corresponds to the spacing used in previous posts - old habit.

Lol y'all are almost there...

I like Charlotte...she's probably my favorite.  The "accident" scene I thought was hilarious.

As for the Miranda crotch scene...ick  :-X

As for the neighbor...he had some very pleasing companions ;)

I liked Charlotte for much of the same reason that I liked Samantha, they both knew what they wanted and went for it, even if I completely disagreed with those choices.  That's why I couldn't stand Carrie for much of the series, she was so stupid and wishy-washy and seemingly self-destructive in many of her choices.  She just irritated me.

Initially I liked the movie, mostly because it was fun to revisit the girls and of course the haze of alcohol helped.  After I sobered up I had similar msigivings to goalie.  The entire plot seemed to be "something bad happens, girls move on, something else bad happens, girls move on".  There seemed to be no real development of these bad situations.  The one with Miranda with the worst, since there should have been so much more to the initial discovery.  However, I'm still gonna watch it again at some point to see the parts that I missed.  On the whole, it met my expectations and appreciate the fluff that it is.
