Law School Discussion

Is this an okay list of schools (my numbers are pretty average)?

BearGirl

My grades and practice LSAT scores are average.  I have a UGPA of 3.43 (at a tier 1 school) and my practice LSATs have been consistently hovering around 156.   :-\  I wasn't too involved in college, but I am currently working as a Legal Assistant at a big, prestigious law firm...

I am interested in staying in the midwest area...Here are the schools I am thinking about:

University of Cincinnati (#1 choice, long shot)
Northern Kentucky
Toledo
Akron (Possibly my #2)
Capital
Penn State
Louisville
Duquesne
Ohio State (yeah right)
IU- Indianapolis
Dayton
Possibly Southern and Northern Illinois

Any thoughts?  Any schools that I might have overlooked?

Thanks!

PS:  Oops! I'm an idiot!  I didn't see that there was already a thread dedicated to this.  Sorry.

I would try and retake the LSAT.  A few more points would make quite the difference for you.

She hasn't taken the LSAT yet.  That's just where she's practicing.

I say hold off until you get that score.  I mean, perhaps set your applications up now so that as soon as you get the score you can click submit (or apply now to your good safeties so that the app will go complete as soon as possible after your score comes in), but between now and Oct. 1st, just focus on studying and getting your score up a few notches, and then decide.

(At least, that's what I'm *trying* to do!)
