My stats: 3.5 GPA, 166 average LSAT score (162 the first time, 170 the second).  A number of extracurriculars, incl. the co-founding of a successful political group on campus.  Worked part-time every year except freshman, study abroad exp., double major (English and Spanish).

Accepted: Temple, Tulane, George Washington, American, USC, BU,
Rejected: NYU
Waitlisted, then rejected: Columbia
Waitlisted, will find out tomorrow if admitted (but it looks good): Penn

Hope this is of some help.

Care to explain the WL thing at Penn. I too am on the WL there and would relish the chance to attend.

The WL sit. is weird - they called me about a week ago (I had pretty much given up at that point and was planning on attending Tulane) to say "if we gave you a spot, would you take it?"  My reply (stupidly, I now realize) was "absolutely, if I can afford it" - I explained the fact that I had a scholarship from Tulane and that because of some credit report issues, I couldn't be sure that I would get the loans. I was hoping this might be able to get me some $$ from them, but unfortunately, that didn't happen.  So about a week later, I find out that since there was no money available to me, I am still on the waitlist, but if I can get the money situation figured out let them know and I might have a spot...So I got the money figured out (a miracle) and tomorrow they will call me and let me know if I can go.  Needless to say, my nerves are a wreck.

Good luck.
