I've got two solid LORs lined up from two of my Con. Law professors.  Most places seem to be saying that you only need two, but some will accept as many as 4.  I'm wondering whether I should plan on getting one from an employer also, or those two are sufficient?  Do schools want letters from academic sources and employers?  Is someone who only submits academic letters looked down on?  What's everybody think?

I've always heard academic ones are preferred, so they probably wouldn't mind not having a work one.  I'm still toying with the idea of getting a third from an employer, or from another professor, or leaving it with two (because I kind of want to save my employer for a scholarship-related public interest LoR, and I'm slightly apprehensive about either of the profs I could ask to be my third academic recommender).

But I'd also be interested to hear if folks think a third rec is a good idea, even if it isn't required.
