New Hybrid Online JD Program
« on: May 25, 2014, 06:48:55 PM »
William Mitchell has recently been approved by the ABA to offer a hybrid online JD.

The inaugural class gets underway in January of 2015.

Personally, I have been eagerly awaiting for something like this for a few years now, and the timing worked out rather nicely for me. Last year, before I had heard of this new program, I had started taking steps to apply this cycle to more traditional part-time programs near where I work. When I heard that this hybrid program had been approved by the ABA, I happily applied.

A little over a week ago, I received word that I have been accepted into this program, and I am looking forward to the experience.

It's quite an interesting option.  I have a lot of things that keep me from enrolling in a traditional program - a mortgage, a job, and so forth.  I'm in an area in Canada with only one local law school, and even their PT options wouldn't meet my schedule (even if they'd let me in).  So I also applied to William Mitchell and was accepted.  I'm inclined to give it a go.

I would be curious to find out from the students who are enrolled in this program currently. Can any of you provide your feedback on your experience?

Agreed. I know a lot of JD's can dual enroll in LLM classes (which are all online anymore anyways) but this is a step beyond that.
This is a history making deal. The class enrolled should be proud to be part of it.
