Leave of absence from online law school

Leave of absence from online law school

Any thoughts about whether it is better to take a leave of absence from law school after the first year to focus on the baby bar or just to proceed into the 2L courses?

If you do not pass the FYLSE, you do not need to worry about any 2L.

I believe you are allowed three attempts (if you desire) before starting your second year.  If you do not pass by your third attempt I think calling it quits is reasonable.   Personally I think I would hang it up after the second try.  I believe you have 5 or seven years to complete your law degree.  So assuming it takes you three attempts that is about a year and half of down time.

What law school do you attend?

Thank you for the advice.  I haven't started yet, but I am considering Concord or ALU.

Keep in mind even if you start the second year and do not pass the baby bar you must decide to either quit or join their non attorney program, which will not provide you the opportunity to sit for the bar exam.  This is what I have read in reference to Concord...not sure if Abraham Lincoln Law School has a non attorney program.
