ADA amendments act 2008 - please help me find a case
« on: July 18, 2012, 11:15:03 AM »
I am a citizen from the UK who has a very limited knowledge of American law.  I am currently involved in a comparative exercise with regards to disability rights in the UK and US and am looking for some help in finding American case examples that meets the following.

It is my understanding that one of the ways the ADA amendments act 2008 changed the law was by expanding the list of major life activities to include concentrating and thinking and introducing the category of "major bodily functions"  In respect of this I am looking for the following:

1) an example of a case that failed under the original ADA on the grounds that concentrating or thinking were not covered
2) An example of a case under the ADA amendments act 2008 that was successful as concentrating or thinking were covered.

Many thanks
Helen
